Ken Thomson

Ken Thomson
- plays the Saxophone
DIDJYA KNOW… Ken is one of the busiest freelance woodwind players in New York City; Time Out NY actually calls him the “hardest-working saxophonist in new music.” He plays clarinet and bass clarinet (think MUCH bigger), and all of the four main saxophones, from soprano to baritone (there are more, but four is OK for now!). He plays in rock bands, jazz bands, orchestras, and even started a marching band … and he loves every minute of it; he’s also a composer — he writes music for his groups and for other people.
Lately, he’s also been cooking at home a lot and experimenting with new recipes; but most recently, he got an ice cream maker and has been trying out some new flavors – his favorite is Maple Spice with Walnut Brittle! He tried to give some to Billy Z, but apparently Billy Z only eats broccoli.
