Annie (Dancetastic and Spiritizing)

DIDJYA KNOW… Annie Elmer LOVES dancing! She started taking lessons way back when as she was growing up in Chicago, IL and moved to New York City to attend New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she graduated with a BFA in Dance.
Annie performed in New York and Los Angeles with Rosanna Gamson WorldWide and Keely Garfields' Sinister Slapstick; she also had a fabulous time working with Def Leppard by dancing in their "Hysteria" video.
She taught toddler movement for several years in Manhattan before joining up as Mike Messers' assistant in Kids Creative which led to her joining the Dirty Socks over 8 years ago. Since then, she has NEVER had so much fun!!! When Annie performs with the Socks and gets to dance with all you kids and your grownups, she feels like ONE HUGE SMILE. She loves planning all the cool costumes she wears and had to make room in her closet for all the different colored go-go boots she has.
With the Socks, Annie has traveled all over the United States, Europe and Asia. Thank goodness she knows how to sleep well on planes. When Annie first began dancing with the Dirty Socks, her beautiful son Christopher (who is a wonderful musician himself) would come to the shows and help Stephen, Bill and Mike tune their guitars and help on the sound board. Now Christopher goes to the California Institute of the Arts and is working on his own BFA in sound design and making his own music; time really does fly when we're all having fun!
That's enough now - LET'S DANCE!
